Michigan Tour de Cure

Date: June 9, 2012
Event Description The Michigan Tour de Cure bike tour is a ride, not a race, and it's designed for riders of all ages and abilities. We offer road routes from 10 miles to 100 miles, and we also offer mountain biking at nearby Brighton Recreation Area. At the American Diabetes Association we pride ourselves on taking care of our riders so you'll enjoy complimentary breakfast at check-in, rest stops stocked with snacks and refreshing drinks; SAG vehicles, on-site medical volunteers, a delicious lunch at the finish, free massages, a kids' zone with games and a bounce house, and live entertainment. As one of the largest fundraisers for the American Diabetes Association the Tour draws in over 1,000 riders each year, and each rider is required to raise a minimum of $200 in order to participate. With the help of our online fundraising tools, most riders raise more than their minimum in no time. Ride as an individual or form a team. Either way we promise you'll have an amazing day surrounded by other people who have as much of a passion for riding as they do for finding a cure for diabetes. For more information and to register please visit www.diabetes.org/michigantourdecure, or you can contact Anika Smith at ahsmith@diabetes.org or 248-433-3830, ext. 6694.
