Denise Murray of Briarwood Mall Speaks at Kiwanis Club of Ann Arbor
Please join Ann Arbor Kiwanians as Denise Murray, Director of Marketing and Business Development for Briarwood Mall, discusses the changes and direction that Briarwood has taken. She will go over the details of the recent renovation and the impact this has had on the shopping center. These changes and Simon's commitment to this community have spurred additional interest for investment from both national and local retailers. Briarwood has worked to bring in PF Chang's and Bravo, which will open by Thanksgiving. Several stores have invested hundreds of thousands of dollars to relocate, expand, or just improve the shopping experience at Briarwood Mall.
Briarwood continues to refine its understanding of what the community would enjoy in their shopping center, from tenant selection to events and experiences. One such improvement is the addition of a permanent stage in Center Court. Briarwood added a year-round program that includes Jazz to the Max on Friday nights, as well as Acoustic Tuesdays. Transitioning into fall, they will open a program on Saturday afternoons, featuring American Song Book style music with Brad McNett from WEMU, and other great musicians. With interest from key community players, such as Jim King from King's Keyboards, this program will continue to grow. In addition, Briarwood will feature a new holiday decor set for this Christmas season, and will have valet parking available for the holidays.
Ms. Murray has been at Briarwood for seven and a half years. During that time she has participated in a transition, carried out with great commitment and vision. Briarwood management will continue to refine the shopping center, and always welcomes honest feedback from the community on how they are doing, and what they can do to make the experience better.
