James Kosteva Speaks at Kiwanis Club of Ann Arbor
University of Michigan Community Relations Director James Kosteva will discuss his role in coordinating activities linked with community organizations and local government officials in the greater Ann Arbor area and southeastern Michigan
Community Relations coordinates the various University of Michigan partnerships, services and links between U-M and government and community organizations representing the greater Ann Arbor area and Southeastern Michigan.
Key service areas include:
- Coordination of campus planning and construction with local officials
- Communication and resolution of public and campus safety concerns
- Mediation of parking, transportation, neighborhood, and housing concerns
- Assistance to local and state economic development interests
- Administration of the annual University United Way Campaign
- Partnership coordination between U-M and local arts and business communities
- Representation of U-M at community and governmental public hearings
- Facilitation of rapid response communications to address immediate needs
