Joan Doughty Speaks at Kiwanis Club of Ann Arbor
Please join Ann Arbor Kiwanians as Joan Doughty, Executive Director of the Community Action Network, discusses the organization's mission and current activities.
Community Action Network ("CAN") partners with children, youth, and families from under-resourced Washtenaw County neighborhoods to create better futures for themselves, and improve the communities in which they live. CAN provides programs and services to families living in low income Ann Arbor neighborhoods. The organization helps create brighter futures by offering educational support to children and youth, housing stabilization services for adults and families, and positive community building activities for neighborhoods. CAN works with individuals and households living in 365 public housing units managed by the Ann Arbor Housing Commission and an additional 265 households in the Bryant Neighborhood.
