Events for November 2014
Ann Arbor / Ypsilanti Regional Chamber
Oct 30 - Nov 2    Twelfth Night
Twelfth Night
Twelfth Night is a veritable “feast of fools” in love. In Shakespeare’s delightful comedy, there are few lengths to which the characters will not go in order to pursue their passions. Cross-dressing, mistaken identity, and slight-of-hand propel the various lovers into far-flung situations that only the original master of comedy can set right.

Nov 3    Parasites Can Be in You Too
Parasites are probably the single most undiagnosed health challenge in this country.  They cause strange symptoms and hide from detection very well.  Of the over 1,000 parasites that can affect us, only 40 to 50 can be identified through standard medical tests.  Fortunately, there are other, non-standard tests that can find more.  Come to this lecture to find out the best way to get tested for them and learn more about how parasites affect us, our digestion, our brain and what herbs can clear them out.

Free personal evaluations via muscle testing will be given after the lecture.  Space is Limited.  Call to reserve your seat today at 734-302-7575.  Non-Patients may have an opportunity for a Free Nutritional Screening.   All first time lecture attendees are eligible for a New Patient Coupon valued at $60.

Who Should Attend

Anyone looking for hands-on-tools and for ways to use the power of story to engage both the heads and hearts of listeners, inspiring them to action. You could be a Strategist, Innovation Maven or Mogul, Entrepreneur, Consultant, or Business Coach.

After this workshop you will have:

  • Learned why perfecting your business narrative is an important tool of leadership
  • Clarified and strengthened your understanding of your core brand and what it is you're really selling
  • Explored and prototyped case studies of effective business storytelling from highly successful entrepreneurs
  • Examined how to effectively adapt and apply your business narrative for print, traditional and social media

Pre-requisites & Preparation

Bravery
The work we'll be doing together will be tough at times because we will be challenging you to step into the personal side of your business journey.

Honesty
Once you enter the workshop, you will officially be entering into a 'NO BS' zone. Storytelling is based on truth, warts and all.

Enthusiasm and Openness
You're going to work hard and play hard in this workshop. Be ready to celebrate the transformations of yourself as well as the rest of your colleagues.

What You Can Expect

Clarity
Sometimes brilliance and innovation comes at a cost. You have so many great ideas and you personally offer so much, that it can be difficult to articulate everything clearly. We're gonna break that code in this class.

Confidence
There is good news and bad news. The Bad News: your business isnot unique. The good, no GREAT news is: you are. You will be encouraged to stop hiding behind your product and let the world see the total, complete story. I know it's a good one too. I just know it. When you're done, you and your business will have the tools to stand heads above the competition.

Momentum
Time is money, money is time and you have a little of both (hopefully, enough of both for this course...smiles). You need something that you can implement and adapt easily without having to do the equivalent of parting the Red Sea to make it happen. You want to connect with the right market and build trust quickly. We'll help you with that.

Our Promise

user-image-mediumWe promise to bring you our very best. From the time you walk in the door, you are under our care and we are fully committed to your success, before, during and after this workshop. What you are about to take on isn't easy work. We get it because we've been through the process again and again. However, you are amongst friends and please take comfort in the fact that you now have a new set of scrappy, weather-tested fans to fill up your 'amen' corner. (smiles) Let's get to work!

Nov 10    Bourbon Basics Cocktail Class
The story of bourbon is the story of America itself. Smoky, sweet, spicy and complex, this corn-based spirit has been a part of our culture for centuries. Recognized by Congress in 1964 as a “distinctive product of the United States,” bourbon is our national liquor. The history of our native spirit is long and colorful, from its birth on the banks of the Ohio river to George Washington’s role in the Whiskey Rebellion; from creating what we now refer to as NASCAR to being at the center of a befuddling Pappy Van Winkle heist in October of 2013 that, at the time of this writing, is still unsolved. Join us as we celebrate our native spirit this November at Cornman Farms. We will learn to mix three unique classic cocktails to highlight the varieties in bourbon: the Mint Julep, the Old Fashioned, and the Boulevardier. We’ll also delve into the colorful lore of our own American whiskey and learn what it is about bourbon that makes it different from all other whiskies. We will be serving some tapas to accompany our bourbon based cocktails.

Nov 12    MOXIE: THE SECRET OF BOLD AND GUTSY LEADERSHIP

If good leadership were easy to come by, it would hardly have remained a hot topic in the world of business (or government, or religion or ...) for centuries! No one knows the challenges of being a good leader more than John Baldoni - he is an internationally known leadership educator.

John recognizes that there is a long list of qualities good leaders demonstrate - they're smart, resilient and resourceful. They persevere, innovate and take risks. They are mindful, self aware and opportunity seeking. They have what you might call the "right stuff to lead". That X-Factor. John Baldoni calls it MOXIE! One part determination, one part smarts, and one part courage! Moxie is an attribute that successful leaders utilize to make a positive difference in the world in which they live. In this session, John Baldoni tells you how to bring on your MOXIE!

Do you keep hearing that "online marketing" is a great opportunity to build your sales volume, but haven't really done much because you're not even sure where to start?

At The Whole Brain Group, we utilize Inbound Marketing techniques that make potential customers seek us out. By creating compelling content for all segments of your customer’s buying cycle, using advanced search marketing techniques, and developing relationships with potential customers on social media, you too can draw qualified customers into the sales funnel.

At our Donuts and Inbound Marketing event you will get an overview of how to:

  • Create compelling content for all stages of the buying cycle
  • Get found by people who need your products and services
  • Convert visitors to leads and nurture the relationship
  • Convert qualified leads to customers
  • Analyze and adjust your marketing efforts
