BRIGHTON, MI – Michigan Works! Southeast, in collaboration with the Michigan Works! Association, the State of Michigan, and local Chambers of Commerce, is excited to announce the first-ever Race to Talent event. Set to take place on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Oak Pointe Country Club, this event will demystify Registered Apprenticeships and showcase their impact across all industries.

“Apprenticeship is the future of hiring and talent development,” says Amber Keyes, Business Services Specialist at Michigan Works! Southeast. “We’re excited to share key insights on the future of apprenticeships in Michigan and show local businesses just how accessible and effective Registered Apprenticeships can be.”

Event Highlights Include:
• Employer Spotlights: Hear success stories from local businesses leading the charge in Registered Apprenticeship.
• Interactive Q&A: Learn directly from employers about their journey in launching RAPs, their challenges, wins, and lessons learned.
• Pathways to Registration: Discover practical steps and support resources available to help employers create and sustain Registered Apprenticeship Programs.

As a special recognition, organizations that take part in the facilitated discussion will be honored as “CHAMPIONS” for their contributions to advancing skilled workforce development in Michigan.
