TheRide Accepts Public Feedback on Preliminary Designs for New Ypsilanti Transit Center Feedback accepted April 17 – May 23

ANN ARBOR, MI – The Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority (TheRide) has launched a public engagement period to provide the community with an opportunity to learn more about and share feedback on preliminary designs for the new Ypsilanti Transit Center in downtown Ypsilanti.

The Ypsilanti Transit Center Reconstruction project, which is a part of TheRide’s Long-Range Plan, focuses on constructing a new transit center in Ypsilanti to serve the growing greater Ann Arbor-Ypsilanti area. The proposed new transit center will address needs for the expanding community, including a larger building, more efficient internal and external layout, additional amenities, security enhancements, and a greater number of bus bay spaces.

“TheRide thanks those that have previously provided feedback on the proposed concepts to help us develop plans for the future Ypsilanti Transit Center,” said Gretchen Johnson, Senior Project Manager at TheRide. “We’re looking forward to sharing updated design ideas, which incorporate previous feedback and concepts.”

The public will have the opportunity to learn more about the footprint and floor plan, overall site plan concepts, and early 3-D renderings of the proposed new facility.

The public input period runs April 17 – May 23. TheRide encourages the public to provide feedback in a number of ways:
