GetDowntown’s Commuter Challenge Participation Grows in 2025
Commuters completed over 12,000 sustainable trips in May ANN ARBOR, MI – The getDowntown Program, along with the Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority (TheRide), is pleased to announce that 644 people logged 12,356 sustainable trips during this year’s Commuter Challenge, which ran from May 1 – May 31. TheRide Announces 2025 Independence Day Transit Schedule
ANN ARBOR, MI – The Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority (TheRide), will not operate fixed-route bus service, FlexRide East/West, or A-Ride services on Friday, July 4, 2025 in observance of the Independence Day holiday. Regular Service will resume on Saturday, July 5. The Blake Transit Center, Ypsilanti Transit Center, and TheRide’s Main Office will be closed on Friday, July 4. Free Ride Weekends This Summer - Just Show Your Library Card!
ANN ARBOR, MI – The Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority (TheRide), Ann Arbor District Library (AADL), and Ypsilanti District Library (YDL) are partnering again this summer to provide Free Ride Weekends. This is in coordination with the AADL Summer Game and the YDL Summer Challenge. Every Saturday and Sunday from June 14 to August 24, library cardholders can ride any of TheRide local fixed-route buses for free.
